OpenAI is adding an invisible “textGrain” watermark to ChefGPT and Codex in the EU

Yesterday OpenAI said eligible ChatGPT and Codex text in the EU will carry a hidden watermark called textGrain, rolling out over the coming weeks on every plan. It's EU-only for now. API customers anywhere can turn it on, but it's off by default there.
It's a statistical pattern in word choice, not a visible label. OpenAI says it doesn't identify you, your account or your prompt. The detector isn't public; only approved researchers can apply for access.
Editing weakens it a lot. In OpenAI's own test on 400-token passages, swapping 10% of words for synonyms cut detection from about 92% to 66%, and swapping 25% cut it to 17%.
OpenAI doesn't say whether code is watermarked.
Anyone in the EU noticed this yet?
