So I keep a list of live projects built with AI. It's at 50 entries now.
How I built it:
- Claude Code for everything: the generator, the design, the CI, and even the DNS and Search Console setup through my browser. Opus 5.5.
- List is a README on GitHub. A ~380-line Python script parses it and generates a static page per category, plus sitemap, structured data and preview images. No framework.
- Hosting: GitHub Pages, deployed by a GitHub Action on every README change. Domain on Cloudflare.
- A weekly link check (lychee) flags dead entries. A lot of vibecoded apps die quitely. PRs run awesome-lint and an alphabetical-order check.
- Claude picked from a few visual directions and went with a dense, Hacker-News-style list: one line per app, a tiny pixel glyph generated from each app's name instead of screenshots.
What I learned:
- Claude was great at the boring 78% (parsing, CI, meta tags), but the judgment calls were still mine: what counts as "vibecoded", which submissions to accept, and when to say no.
- Automated link checking is the only way a list like this stays trustworthy.
