It’s not even a hunch anymore, I’m conditioned to it now and it’s becoming more and more frustrating. Every Monday and Tuesday during peak hours my Claude code uses double the context for 20x worse output. This is codex levels of performance in the worst way.

When it’s this bad, a new model usually comes out within a day or two. So my guess is Fable 5.5 tomorrow because of how stinking bad it’s gotten today. I just hate that them releasing a new model means we have to walk through more than warm turd to get to it.
