I've posted about this a few times while building it. It's public now, so here's the whole thing in one place.
Why I built it
My setup is most of how I work: hooks that stop a bad commit, skills for review and shipping, global rules I keep refining. They live in my profile folder, not in any repo, so a cloud session never sees them. And my ideas rarely show up while I'm sitting at the PC.
What it does
I open a PWA on my phone, tap a project folder, and a Claude Code session starts on my PC in that folder, with my profile loaded. The session runs with --remote-control, so it appears in the Claude app's Code tab and I drive it from there. STOP ends it.
How it compares, honestly
- Remote Control needs a session already running, which means someone started it at the desk. This starts one with nobody there, in the folder you pick.
- Dispatch also runs Claude on your machine. The difference is the start: no desk step, and you choose the folder before the session exists.
- If your code is pushed and you've never customised anything, the cloud sessions are simpler. This is for people with a setup they can't upload.
Install
It's a plugin. In Claude Code on the PC:

It adds the marketplace, installs the plugin, sets itself up in the background and hands you a link to set a passcode. Needs Windows 10/11, Node 24.2+, Tailscale.
Things I learned that might help other plugin authors
- There's no post-install hook. The first time plugin code runs is the next session start, through a SessionStart hook, so the hook only decides and hands the real work to a detached background job.
- A SessionStart systemMessage keeps newlines and ANSI colour, so setup prints a QR code of the phone address right in the terminal.
claude plugin list --jsongives youinstallPath, but it's version-scoped and moves on every update. Don't hardcode it.
