OK I've started working with GPT-6 Astra and it has been an absolute pleasure. Indeed it has blown my mind a couple times already, in the short time I've been working with it, and I've worked with Fable for months. And Astra's writing is a delight. It communicates naturally as if the world is an exciting and beautiful place, when doing nothing but talking about Emacs functions.

There's one big difference from Fable, though. With Fable, you'll mention you want something done, and from that moment, it treats the world as if you are going to pull the power plug at any second, until your ask is persisted. In short, Claude is careful: it only starts work after recording and planning it first.

Meanwhile, Astra is always in 100% Leeroy Jenkins mode. You'll give it something to w-:Astra: I'M WORKING ON IT AAAAAAAAAH!!!!

It has been roughly as scary and fun as the new Resident Evil movie. But I'll stick with Fable for serious work for now.
