Hey everyone,

I'm looking to buy a paid AI plan to help with my daily coding routine and need some honest advice before spending money.

My routine & needs:

  • Usage: 3 to 4 hours every weekday evening (mostly personal projects, building stuff, and upskilling).
  • Editors: Mainly using Cursor and Zed.
  • Budget: Strict $20/month max.
  • What I need: Fast autocomplete while typing + smart chat/context for debugging, architecture, and explaining things.

Options I'm considering:

  1. Cursor Pro ($20/mo): Built straight into the editor, but will I run into rate limits with 15–20 hours of use every week?
  2. Claude Pro or ChatGPT Plus ($20/mo): Great models, but is switching back and forth between browser and editor annoying? Also, how bad are Claude’s message caps during a 3–4 hour sprint?
  3. OpenCode Go ($10/mo) or Command Code GOAT ($10/mo): Cheaper token pools / proxy plans for coding models. Are these actually practical and reliable for daily use compared to the big names?

For those with a similar daily schedule, which one gives the most value without constantly hitting limits?

Any advice or experiences or suggesting any other plans would be appreciated!
