Hey everyone,
I had an issue where the Agent/Composer kept showing “Taking longer than expected” and felt noticeably slow.
What fixed it for me: I disconnected / disabled the built-in Automations under Automations → From Cursor:
- Review Code with Bugbot
- Scan and Triage Security Vulnerabilities
After turning those off, the “Taking longer than expected” message stopped appearing and the Agent felt much faster again.
My guess is that those always-on cloud agents were competing for the same account/cloud capacity as the local Agent, so the chat was waiting longer.
If you’re stuck on “Taking longer than expected” or Agent feels unusually slow, try temporarily disabling Bugbot and the Security scan Automations and see if it improves. It helped in my case.
