Reset points are not what you might be thinking. For some reason I was thinking: "Sweet, I have 1 reset point = I have one full extra month".

In reality, a reset is worth at max, one week of extra quota usage for you. Because claude does not allow you to consume your whole month worth of tokens as once. You will always be limited by your weekly limit.

The best way to use it is:

- The last week before your monthly reset

- immediately after you consumed the last week worth of quota, ideally 1 or 2 days after the last week countdown has started.

- The reset will reset it and you have 5 ish days to consume a whole new week worth of tokens.

- Then comes the natural weekly reset. And your reset point has evaporated.

All of that while hoping that no new model would be released (causing a reset immediately) after you have used your reset point.
