 | Codex Deck puts your remaining Codex usage in the Mac menu bar and lets you switch model + reasoning presets with Cmd + Ctrl + 1–5. I built it because I kept opening menus just to check my usage or switch between the same few model settings. The screenshot shows the remaining quota directly in the menu bar. Save five combinations in JSON, opened from the Mac menu, then apply one with a shortcut. Only Cmd + Ctrl + 1–5 take priority while Codex is in front; other Codex shortcuts stay available. There's also an optional phone deck, shown in the video below. Open it on the same trusted Wi-Fi, tap a preset, or drag the bar to adjust reasoning effort. Its frame follows the selected chat's status: idle, working, unread completion, answer/approval needed, or error. The deck was inspired by Codex Micro. You don't need a phone to use the menu bar or keyboard shortcuts. Free and open source (MIT), built with Codex. Independent project, not an official OpenAI product; your own Codex access is required. The current download is for Apple silicon Macs on macOS 13+. The app isn't Apple-notarized yet. Model switching uses Codex desktop internals, so future updates may affect compatibility.
